Secrest, Giffin 2 Pipe to 4 Pipe HVAC Upgrade
Replacement of existing 425 2 pipe Fan Coil units with 4 pipe units, eliminating change over system and adding new chilled water loop. POR was developed and included Existing system assessment, Life Cycle Cost analysis, Cost Estimates. This project is completed with limited swing space availability and coordinated with 2 other ongoing projects at OVH.
Mechanical: Convert the existing two-pipe heating and cooling system to a four-pipe system in the Giffin Care Facility and the Secrest Nursing Home located at the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky, OH. Included the installation of two additional pipes and the replacement of all two-pipe fan coil units (FCU) with new 4 pipe Fan Coil Units, added new heating coils to existing Blower Coil Units, eliminated existing change over valves and reconfigured existing piping. New Fan Coil Units are provided with Energy Efficient Motors (ECM motors). Also evaluated the existing chiller and boiler piping connections and reconfigured as required. Existing control system modifications.
